A couple of years ago I made up a great controversy mapping exercise based on wireless charging for cars. Since then tabletop wireless phone chargers appeared at Helsinki airport and even at Charles de Gaulle. then they disappeared. I supposed it was slipping down the hype curve to oblivion.
Maybe that was premature.

Meanwhile, on Arte you can see a great BBC documentary on the classic Thomas Edison – Nicola Tesla controversy in which the protagonists used mirrors and snake oil to persuade people that DC was better than AC and vice versa. Tesla’s ideas won that one.
