…I’m a GOM… but an optimistic GOM.
A GOM is a « grumpy old man ». And this time of year I start moaning about all the innovation things in Paris that always happen at this time of year. The Rite of Spring. I mean the innovation festivities. Never in autumn. Never in winter. Always in June.
But I just got a mail from the Open Innovation manager of another Parisian event called Hello Tomorrow. End of June (of course). The keynotes are like a Who’s Who of World Innovation Leaders. It still looks more like a 3rd (than a 4th) generation Innovation happening, like Helsinki’s Slush, but it has critical mass.
I’m happy to see that my former employer, the Paris Science Museum, is hosting such events!
I’m sad that France’s most innovative company Poult Biscuits does not seem to be showcased.
Meanwhile, my lucky ITMP students will be able to get in at a premium price.
