In April 1997, three ITMP students got a grant from ESIEE to go to a hush hush high level international conference in Bonn on something called « e-commerce » which no one had ever heard of.
In April 2000, on our first Finnovation visit, four ITMPs and I were invited to an amazing dinner in Turku in a restaurant called Enkeli (angel) by a startup which was a virtual online hospital called Atulainen. When we got back to our apartment, we had an all night discussion on the ethics of such a thing.
Next month, in Barcelona, is the Health 2.0 Europe Congress. A rapidly growing sector. In fact, four of this year’s 15 ITMP students are working on health related MAPCOs (commissioned projects). If you haven’t got the 649€ it takes to register, you can still look around the website for free!
