Gérard Berry is President of ESIEE’s scientific advisory council.
A few months ago he was awarded France’s highest research award – the CNRS gold medal.
Here’s a short interview in situ.
You can find a longer lecture of his at the Collège de France (where he holds a Chair) in which he compares musical tempo and informatic tempo (thank you Laurence).
Not surprisingly, for someone who’s obviously into music, his current work focuses on Hip Hop – a computer language for the internet of things.
