Cats and dogs and projects

This morning we finished the project management course with international ESIEE Paris MSc engineering students. Exceptionally there were no books to be written. There was no time for that. Just the usual lectures from me and an exciting mini tower building project with Luciana. I did however ask the studentsphoto_ime

to look for and select interesting websites, blogs, MOOCs, books etc. on the subject. They did a really great job (and as a result they’ll have to have a tough exam).

Frequently cited was the herding cats blog, and I promised I’d put a link to it on this page. It’s a nice image for the sometimes unruly, disobedient, creative, individualistic, process-hating, that the poor project manager has to somehow put through the hoops.

Maybe our ITMP2011 biomimicry expert Olivier Allard could provide some nature inspired insights on how to do that…
