ESIEE Paris is full of innovation nodes. Obviously the research labs and teams. But some of the most innovative places are the student clubs. One of them is ESIEEspace. When this started in the 80s it was about rocket launches and balloons. Now it’s 3D printers and robots.
This little clip is a teaser from the 2014 Sumo challenge.
I think this competition is especially for non experts (= amateurs). The ESIEEspace club has a not too expensive kit and offers tutorials (guidance) to help participants make and program the robot for its sumo battle. It can be done in a week as far as I can tell.
This page will soon feature an interview with the organisers!
