…This morning early on the France Inter radio there was a short door to door visit thing on dealing with happiness.
Today I discover there exists such a thing as a happiness engineer!
I also love the idea of this « unconference » the happiness engineer went to in Sweden. I can think of a few people who would hate such lack of structure. But of course the unstructure is structured. Le Notre & Capability Brown.
This morning’s France Inter « micro trottoir » vividly brought back yesterday evening’s dramatised reading of the wartime prison memoirs of Jean Zay.
All the more poignant as he was executed in 1944.
His happiness in 1941 was a seeing a dandelion sprouting up in the micro courtyard in spring after months of darkness, cold and winter in a prison cell. I suppose his engineered happiness was being able to grow flowers, lettuces and radishes from a few smuggled seeds and feeling and seeing the sun warm and color this little micro garden haven of joy.
