…one of several extremely original insights which was brought out in Divij, Siddarth and Amey’s report on « Vivid Roles of a Project Manager in the Multi-Cultural Organisation » which two of them presented Monday 13th May in Luciana Castro’s International Project Management 2 module for MoTIS MSc students at ESIEE Paris. Here they are just before their viva.
One of the managers they interviewed works for Infosys. It was he who affirmed that « dismantling a team (after a project is finished) is a value destroying activity ». Simple as it sounded this struck me as a profound insight with interesting implications.
And I hope to come back to their report once it has been spruced up for publication!
Meanwhile their point was nicely illustrated by today’s headline news on the BBC’s websites that an « ex-Nokia team makes rival smartphone Jolla ».
And on MIT’s Technology Review too!
